System Commissioning

Proper commissioning of the DC battery system is essential for proper operation of the battery and for establishing baseline data. This baseline data is critical for follow-on trend analysis and for warranty related issues.

All of our commissioning procedures follow the applicable IEEE standards and include:

* Perform visual inspection
* Measure and record battery temperature
* Measure and record overall voltage
* Measure and record individual jar\cell voltages
* Measure and record internal jar\cell resistance
* Measure and record intercell\interjar resistance
* Measure and record specific gravity
* Check electrolyte levels and fill where required
* Clean and neutralize any electrolyte on battery covers or racks
* Wipe off dust and debris to eliminate parasitic paths for conduction
* Perform acceptance load testing of the DC battery plant

Upon completion of our commissioning procedures, we provide a detailed maintenance report that includes procedures, conclusions and recommendations.
